The Vision
The ICT Competition is an annual global initiative that celebrates digital innovation and excellence by recognising outstanding technology students, educators, and policymakers from across Sub-Saharan Africa. The Regional Awards Ceremony brings together the winning student teams, their instructors, key stakeholders, and government representatives for a prestigious regional gathering.
The Southern Africa ICT Committee required an experienced event partner to deliver a smooth-running awards ceremony. This included providing complete event resources and infrastructure, all within a demanding two-week deadline.
Our Strategy & Approach
We set out to craft an awards ceremony that was as inspiring as the talent it celebrated. Every detail was designed to immerse guests in a unified experience, with event branding and key visuals seamlessly integrated across all assets. From striking stage infrastructure to custom-manufactured collateral, bespoke décor, and tailored furniture design, we built an environment that reflected both prestige and innovation.
To elevate audience engagement, we introduced 3D interactive touchpoints, transforming delegates from passive attendees into active participants.
The competition itself showcased brilliance across four future-shaping tracks: Network, Cloud, Computing, and AI. Teams from Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria were honoured for their achievements. Winners received one-of-a-kind trophies and certificates, each engraved with their names and the corresponding award categories, symbolising a truly remarkable milestone.
Behind the scenes, our team worked hand in hand with the client to orchestrate a smooth flow of proceedings, managing speakers, guiding panel discussions, and ensuring every moment of the awards ran seamlessly from start to finish.
Event Execution
The awards ceremony came alive with a keynote address from South Africa’s Honourable Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr. Nobuhle Nkabane (MP), who also joined the awards presentations. VIP guests included Dr. Nkosinathi Sishi, Director-General of Higher Education and Training, South Africa, and Dr. Esther Muoria, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Education, Kenya. Our team ensured a seamless, engaging experience for all attendees.
